The gadget that can be termed as the showstopper at the International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2015 is a charger that has the ability to boost your battery to full capacity in merely seconds.
This charger is developed by Israeli start-up, Storedot. This newly announced device is capable of recharging phone batteries about 100 times faster than the chargers that we use currently, reported the BBC.
The same company, Storedot, had demonstrated a similar feat in past about eight months ago and at that time they involved a battery many times thicker than the handset itself and they even had a charger that was really outsized, and all this made the gadget impractical for real world use.
However, the gadget demonstrated in the CES 2015 in Las Vegas is pretty slim and the phone that was involved is no bigger than the phones that we use. So, the charging dock showcased this time is a practical one and we can hope to see this technology in our hands really soon. This gadget is really going to be a thing that can save our precious time and surely has the potential to revolutionize the way we use our mobile phones, tablets, laptops, and wearable tech.
