The G Flex 2 - LG’s new second generation flexible
smartphone takes specifications to a whole new level and it will be on sale
before the end of the month in South Korea.
Looking back to its predecessor, The LG G Flex got a lot of attention
back in late 2013 because of its curved banana like shape and more over the
phone was capable of healing itself if scratched.
However, the company is now back with a new version of The G
Flex, namely The G Flex 2. The new handset, The G Flex 2, was unveiled at the
2015 International CES. The handset features a full HD 5.5 inch curved display
and has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chip on board, which undoubtedly is fast. The
rear camera supports the resolutions of up to 13 megapixels and has the same
image stabilization and laser focusing found on the LG’s current flagship
non-curved handset, the LG G3.
The New LG G Flex 2 has the same self-healing properties as
the LG G Flex, which makes it a kind of scratch proof as it can heal itself on
being scratched and moreover the LG G Flex 2 can even heal itself from some
small dents on the back panel, and all this happens in a matter of seconds. LG
claims that that the phone is even more robust than its predecessor. The curved
display in The G Flex 2 is 20% stronger than the display in the G Flex, and
this means that the new handset can survive being sat on when left in a back
pocket.
At time, the demands for larger 5 inch+ displays are up and
growing but LG does make a decision to make The LG G Flex 2 a bit smaller than
the previous version as the original Flex had a 6 inch display. But the good
thing is that the curves of the G Flex 2 make the handset easier to hold with a
single hand and it also makes it easier to use the device for making voice
calls as the microphone is closer to the user’s mouth when held up to the ear.
The LG G Flex 2 seems appealing enough but for user reviews,
we do have to wait a bit and who knows what pros and cons come into sight.
