Halo 5 stable resolution comes at 60fps

Halo 5: Guardians won't be in stores for another few weeks, but according to executive producer Josh Holmes that despite it being one of the biggest games in 2015 it might not have the highest resolution of any game this holiday season.

Windows 10: “Next Chapter of Windows” is coming

Many of you would be wondering about that when the next test build of windows 10 will be landing. Hopefully, the answer is Wednesday, January 21st next year as Microsoft has announced the press event on the date of January 21st namely (for the chronicle), “next chapter of windows”.

This press event, in whole, will be presented by a number of Microsoft officials, namely, Satya Nadella (CEO of Microsoft), Terry Myerson (EVP of Microsoft’s Operating Systems Group (OSG)), Joey Belfiore (CVP, OSG) and Phil Spencer (Head of Microsoft’s Xbox division and Microsoft Studios).

As Neowin mentioned in their article, that, Mr. Spencer’s involvement likely points towards gaming or Xbox relations to Windows 10 during the event. Likewise, Joe Belfiore’s presence surely indicates a discussion on the field of the smartphone space, where Microsoft is certainly looking forward to focus its talent in.

Now coming to the new release, it may not be called the consumer preview but may be called January Technical Preview and could be part of a new release cycle where the company pushes out a new release each month. Microsoft is currently testing the new version of the NT Kernel that has certainly jumped from NT 6.4 to NT 10, via its internal Build 9888, which leaked about a week ago. The build incorporates some changes which certainly look to be planned, which include a revised Setting app which includes a new search bar, unified menu features, and new windows animations.

In addition to all the other changes, a beta build of the Cortana voice assistant app is also coming to Windows 10. Some things that Cortana can do have been shown in the video below:

So, all the testers or the Windows users who want to get a taste of the new build of Windows 10 should wait until January 21^st or whenever Microsoft chooses to officially release the build. And after all the announcements made, as Neowin says, it does looks like that January 21^st is going to be a very busy day.

Windows 7 is not going anywhere, but it will be a bit more costly

The headlines that say Windows 7 is going are wrong!!!

After the announcement of the newer versions of the Microsoft Windows, there have been a number of news in the air about Microsoft Windows 7 being unavailable in future. But it is not going to happen any sooner. The Windows 7 is going to be available but the thing that is going to change is the price of it. The people who want a new machine with Windows 7 preinstalled might have to give some bucks extra to buy it but it definitely is not going to go anywhere. The windows 7 is going to be available on the machines and as retail packaging for another one year and maybe even longer than this.

Microsoft will stop selling OEM licenses that allow them to sell new PCs with Windows 7 home Basic, Home Premium or Ultimate pre-installed from October 31^st. But the windows 7 Professional version is not going to be affected at all and Microsoft has committed to give one year advance notice prior to the end of OEM licenses for the Widows 7 Professional version.

So what is going to change?

As mentioned before in the article, you can expect the prices of Windows 7 to be a bit higher in future and also the prices of the machines with this version are going to be affected. This buzz has got the retailers some profit as the headlines which were airing up before have made the buyers even more wanting the windows 7. But if you were going to be one of them, I think you would be on the right track again after knowing the actual fact and will not fall in the traps of the retailers or the sellers of Windows 7. They are just taking advantage of the situations.

We will surely see a lot of these baseless things as this news has already reached a lot of people. So don’t be silly and don’t go according to the news as now you know the fact that WINDOWS 7 IS NOT GOING ANYWHERE.
